Francesc Xavier Ruiz Collantes is Professor of Communication at the Department of Communication of Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain). His areas of specialization include semiotics and multimodal discourse analysis as applied mainly to marketing and political communication, on which he has published extensively. His latest book is La Construcción del Relato Político (2019). He has worked as a trademark consultant and in the construction and evaluation of brand discourses in advertising, packaging, and websites, among others.
