Davide Puca

Davide Puca is a research fellow at the University of Palermo. His research focuses on the concepts of tradition, terroir and typicity in food and wine. He holds a Master's degree in Semiotics from the University of Bologna, and a PhD in Cultural Heritage from the University of Palermo, featuring research on the construction of the geographical identity of food. He is a sommelier and works on marketing and communication for food and wine producers. In 2020, he co-curated a research project on regional cuisine called Forme della cucina siciliana (Forms of Sicilian Cuisine), and in 2021, he published the book Il valore delle differenze: tipicità e terroir nella cultura alimentare (The Value of Differences: Typicity and Terroir in Food Culture).
