Call for Book Chapters: “Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language to Children"
Vernon Press invites book chapter proposals for a forthcoming edited volume, “Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language to Children” (editor, Alberto Regagliolo).
We are preparing an edited volume that explores how Italian as a Foreign Language (IFL) can be effectively taught to children across a range of contexts, from preschool and primary classrooms to after-school programs and community-based settings. We welcome contributions from teachers, researchers, and practitioners who design creative, inclusive, and evidence-based learning experiences for young learners of Italian.
We invite chapter proposals on a broad range of approaches. Possible themes include (but are not limited to):
- Teacher training and materials development
- Curriculum design & progression
- Play-based and multimodal pedagogy
- Digital and tangible tools
- Literacy and oracy development
- Inclusive education
- CLIL / Content integration
We welcome practice-based reflections, action research, classroom-based case studies, and theoretical or empirical contributions. Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.
