Call for Book Chapters: "Thriving in the EdTech Revolution: A Practical Guide to Technology Integration in Teacher Education"

Vernon Press invites book chapter proposals for the forthcoming edited volume titled "Thriving in the EdTech Revolution: A Practical Guide to Technology Integration in Teacher Education”, edited by Harshith B. Nair.

The classroom is undergoing a seismic shift. Technology is no longer an optional extra; it's a fundamental tool for educators. But with this exciting transformation comes a critical question: how do we prepare teachers to thrive in a tech-infused learning environment?

"Thriving in the EdTech Revolution: A Practical Guide to Technology Integration in Teacher Education" seeks to answer this very question. This groundbreaking book will be your one-stop resource, equipping educators with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to harness the power of technology and revolutionise their teaching practice.

We're looking for passionate educators and thought leaders to contribute chapters that explore the following critical themes:

  • Building a Foundation for Responsible EdTech Use: Define responsible EdTech practices, address ethical considerations like data privacy and accessibility, and outline frameworks for effective technology selection and implementation.
  • Seamless Classroom Integration Strategies: Share practical, field-tested approaches for integrating technology across subject areas and grade levels. Explore strategies for engaging students, fostering collaboration, and ensuring technology supports effective learning outcomes.
  • Global Perspectives on Teacher Training: Unite educators worldwide! Share innovative approaches used in diverse educational contexts. Explore the challenges and opportunities unique to different regions and cultures.
  • Empowering Teachers & Students in the Digital Age: Help educators cultivate their own digital competence and confidence. Explore how technology is transforming teacher identity and roles. Equip educators with strategies to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and lifelong learning skills in students.
  • Ensuring Accountability in Tech-Enhanced Learning: Navigate the complexities of accountability in a digital environment. Learn how to establish clear goals, utilise data to measure the impact of technology, and balance creativity with established pedagogical standards.

Prospective authors are kindly requested to submit their chapter proposals by July 1, 2024 (a 500 word-maximum abstract)

Proposal acceptance will be notified by August 01, 2024.

Contributors whose abstracts get selected will receive the Vernon Press submission guidelines to prepare a chapter.

Full chapter submissions are to be delivered by October 1, 2024.

  2. We are seeking global perspectives and welcome global contributions and collaborations.
  3. The acceptance of the abstract is provisional.
  4. The acceptance of the complete manuscript will be decided only after a rigorous peer review process.
  5. The maximum word limit for the complete chapter is 5000 words. The plagiarism must be below 10 percent.
  6. The chapter must not be published anywhere else before.
